It had gone on long enough. K’tanya had known this for a while, but she had turned a blind eye to that fact, not wanting to admit it was over. However she had spent quite a bit of time thinking about it while trying to relax in her tropical paradise.

She still loved him, in her own way. However as much as it hurt she needed to face the fact that he just didn’t feel the same, and nothing she did was going to change that simple truth.

It was time to talk Aidan, and then finally let him go.

"All my faults, huh? Well, you're not the only one that loves me. Sometimes I wonder if you put a spell on me that makes that happen, but you would never do that would you?"

"Yes, all your faults."

Wes, for instance. Huge fault. HUGE.

She shakes her head. "No. There's no need for such a spell on you. You attract people just by being you, whether you want them...or not."

"Now, don't be trying to guilt me. I wanted you but you left me."

She gives him that look. You know, the 'yeah, right' look.

"You didn't want me. You wanted bliss, and I'm not talking about the demi-god either. You were broken hearted. Bliss was new, and different, and made you forget."

"And he was awesome and even if YOU were to have told me that you were actually you, then I would have accepted you so don't start that. You don't know anything about me or how I felt about you. But, I was heartbroken when you left. All you did was dump a puppy on my lap and leave. Then, Wes came into my life and I'm happy. You should be happy for me too and move on with your life."

"And it was a mistake, okay? I know that now. I...left because I was afraid and...I left B because I wanted you to have something to remember me by and..."

She sighs and shakes her head. "It doesn't matter. You're right. I do want you to be happy, whatever the cost. As I said, I just wanted to tell you I was sorry."

"Well, I appreciate it and I'll miss you, for what it's worth."

She just nods, sets her drink on the table, and gets to her feet. "I should go. Thank you for seeing me, Aidan."

He stands up, "Good luck, K'tanya."

"Goodbye, Aidan."

She gives him one last look before walking to the entryway, and then out the door.

He watches her go before he sighs softly at her departure.
