TM - 268 - The End.
Feb. 5th, 2009 11:25 amK’tanya sat on the platform and watched as the Earth was blown into more pieces than there was confetti on the streets of Times Square after New Year’s Eve. Well, except that Times Square didn’t exist anymore, but that was beside the point. The point was that the sight had saddened her far more than she would have thought possible. After all, she had been there when it was born, helped it through it’s troubled adolescence, and even nursed it through it’s old age. She had been there for everything, and now it was nothing more than chucks of rock and debris floating through space. All that work, and this was how it had all ended.
Sighing, she got to her feet, ignoring all of the commotion that had been going on in the observation room while she had watched one of her children die. It irked her just a bit that they could be so caught up in their own petty problems that they couldn’t even spare a moment for her Earth, but then again most creatures were just that selfish. Sure, they had almost been incinerated when the shields went down, but that was no excuse as far as she was concerned. That had been her baby out there, damn it! It should be shown at least a little bit of respect at the end!
Right about then she caught sight of a familiar looking man and some blond chippie and she rolled her eyes slightly. She swore his companions were getting more and more trashy as time went on. He must have gotten really desperate after the last time she left him though if that one was any indication. Well, that was hardly her concern anymore, at least not for the moment at any rate.
Turning back to the window, K’tanya took one last look, then snapped her fingers and disappeared in a wave of pink light.
