OOC - Thank You
Mar. 21st, 2007 07:50 amJust wanted to say thank you again to everyone who mentioned K'tanya in the OC love thread over in TM Fen.
To say it was a surprise is a bit of an understatement since she is supposed to be one of the most hated and reviled types of character in the world of fiction. Add that to the fact that she hasn't been around long, and that there is such stiff competition around here when it comes to OC's, and you have one very surprised mun.
I would be lying to say that she wasn't a liberating character in many ways. She doesn't have to stay in canon, or stick to any one voice when talking to people, or even try and be the least bit believable. As a matter of fact, the more flighty, angsty, and unbelievable she is, the better. All that aside, she can be more difficult to write than I would have thought, simply because I have a habit of trying NOT to write my pups that way. I want her to have a steady voice and personality and she still jumps all over the board, depending on who she might be talking to at the time. Which is a good thing, but one that drives me NUTS.
*clears throat* Anyway, I do try and make her amusing in her off kilter habits and responses if nothing else, and it's good to know that people appreciate the effort. ((hugs to all))
Oh, and let me know when she REALLY starts to get annoying, would you? :)
