charloftShe always knew the holidays were fast approaching when she received the annual phone call.
"Merry Christmas, K’tanya.”
She knew right away who it was, although the normally jolly old elf was sounding a bit more on the disappointed side tonight. "I’m getting close again, aren’t I?"
"I’m afraid so. I believe it was that stunt you pulled at Halloween that tipped the scale out of your favor. Destruction of property is a rather heavy offense on the naughty side of the scale after all.”
"I offered to replace the car!”
"I know, but since you’re going to consider that a gift rather than true penance, it doesn’t change the weight of the scale. However, being as how you’re my favorite, I will agree to offer you the same deal as I have in the past. You come up and help with my deliveries with a willing heart, and the scale will tip back in your favor.”
K’tanya sighed softly, having been looking forward to a nice quiet holiday for a change. Given the choice though, she knew she couldn’t turn him down. "Fine, but if you think I’m wearing that blinking nose again then you have another thing coming."
