Pick-A-Fic - RainbowSparkle!K'tanya for

Jul. 10th, 2008 11:09 amBack in the beginning, when the world was new, it seemed much different than it does today. In fact, it was rather drab and boring, and it looked a lot like Kansas. The Lord was not happy with this, but it was the seventh day and he had decided to take a nice vacation to Saturn. Knowing that he couldn’t just leave things like they were, He decided that He needed to have one of His Angels take care of the problem while He was gone, which is how delegation was created.
To that end He called upon his favorite, the most beautiful and powerful of his Angels, and asked her to find a way to brighten things up a bit. Being so smart and creative, as well as wise beyond all earthly measure, He was sure she wouldn’t have a problem with the task. Of course the Angel was more than happy to help the Lord with His little dilemma, and to give Him a break after all the good that he had done. Besides, it would give her the chance to tweak a few things here and there that hadn’t quite turned out the way she knew that He had intended. So she waved goodbye as the Lord left for the day, which was actually several thousand years by mortal standards.
Looking around, the Angel took a moment to decide what would be the best way to go about giving the little world that little something extra. Finally, deciding that everything looked better with a fresh coat of paint, she pulled out an assortment of colors and started getting to work. At first, she flitted around doing the little things by hand, but eventually she decided that was taking far too long, as she needed to do that little bit of correcting still and the day was going by awfully fast. So in a burst of inspiration she created a huge device that would rain down paint onto the world and thus make her job easier.
"And that’s how I created the rainbow, which I still have to use on occasion when things start to get dull again. Sometimes, when it gets really bad, I even have to use two. They do a good job though, don’t you think?" K'tanya however, didn't let her guest get a word in before she continued on. "Unfortunately though, I did have to sue a candy company for copyright infringement a while back. We ended up settling out of court though, and now they pay royalties to me so they can keep their slogan and all. It seemed rather silly to me anyway. I mean, who would want to taste paint?"
Kit just looked at the girl as she continued to prattle on, and suddenly it made so much more sense as to why Aidan would have gotten involved with her in the first place, even if she had been a he at the time.
