K’tanya had been forced to call favors in from people in at least three different dimensions, two different timeframes, and one guy who was from an alternate universe where cockroaches ruled the world. She hated going there. It made her skin crawl just thinking about the place. Regardless though, she had put herself through that torture just so she could finally find a way to pull Aidan’s quickening back from wherever it had gone and put it in a new body. Which looked quite similar to the old one actually, as she totally went and stole this one actor guy’s body from a different dimension for the new one; hence the cockroach world.
Anyway, after months of grueling work and several broken fingernails, the time had arrived. Using every bit of magical energy in her possession to merge body and quickening together, K’tanya had finally brought life back to her long lost former love. Now, she just had to wait for him to wake up.
Unfortunately, she sucked at waiting.
This of course led to Aidan getting a tub of ice cold water dashed on his head. Sputtering, he sat straight up on the table and shook his head, spraying water everywhere. “WHAT THE FUCK?”
“Baby!”
Blinking, Aidan reached up and wiped the water from his eyes. “K’tanya? What in the hell? Last thing I remember I was getting a Christmas tree and now I’m here with you? What gives?”
“Well see, you totally died, and it took me like, forever to get you back and I’m totally getting married to this hot Prince but I thought you and I could maybe have one last fling before the whole ceremony thing. What do you say?”
“…”
“What?”
“You brought me back from the dead?”
“Uh, yeah. Didn’t I just say that?”
“How the hell long have I been that way?”
“Oh, I don’t know, eight months or so.”
“…”
“Well? What’s your answer?”
“Where’s Wes?”
“That’s it?! That’s your answer? Well in that case…” K’tanya snapped her fingers and the body tumbled back down onto the table, Aidan’s quickening having been sent back to wherever it had come from in the first place.
