TM - 254 - The Longest Day EVAH!

Ever notice how totally messed up time can be? I mean sure, it’s all like, constant and stuff but perception is pretty much everything these days. Twenty-four hours can seem to either go by in a heartbeat, or take like, a million and one years. You’ve all gone through that, right?

Take for instance Christmas Eve, which is SO commercialized that it’s totally pathetic, by the way. I mean have you looked in the stores recently? They have all their Christmas stuff up already and we aren’t even done with the whole fright night thing. AND! I bet you there will be Christmas music playing on the radio before we even think about eating that turkey or ham or whatever. There might even be some playing right now!

Anyway, I totally got off topic there. Sorry. Bit of a sore point.

What I was trying to say was that when you are a kid, Christmas Eve seems to take forever. I mean you want to get those presents now, but Santa and his sleigh aren’t even through like, Canada yet. So finally it’s time to go to sleep and you put out the milk and cookies. Then you go and you wait up in bed and you totally stare at the ceiling and it’s like time has totally stood still and everything. Then, suddenly it’s morning and you have no idea where the night went! You go wake up the parents, open your gifts, deal with pinchy face grandma’s, and before you know it, it’s time for bed again! The day just FLEW compared to the day before, right?

It’s all perception, that’s all I’m saying.

Well, except for that stupid daylight savings thing. Which makes a long day even longer. OH! And they totally screwed up fright night too! Moving it around and stuff makes it so that the little ones have to go out and get their candy before it’s even DARK. What is up with that!

I swear. The government totally ruins everything.

Which, now that I think about it?

Election six to eight months day in the US of A. Longest. Day. Ever.
