RP - Wedding Reception (Backdated to Sept. 26th!)

It had been the most beautiful ceremony that the country of Andalasia, or indeed any country, had every had the opportunity to experience. Everyone, from the lowest to the highest had been blessed to witness the union of two souls that lived and loved only for each other. In fact, in all of history there had never been a more blessed union than this one, and everyone of any real importance had been sent an invitation and was there in attendance.

In fact, the biggest hall in all the land had been decorated for the occasion. Every table was adorned with beautiful and tasteful decorations in the colors of the bride’s choice, blush and bashful. The banquet was already set out upon heavy tables on either side of the room, allowing people to dine at their leisure as the festivities went on. There was a full service bar in each corner of the room, and servants dressed in the appropriate colors circulated through the room making sure that everyone’s drinks stayed refilled as needed. Near the entrance there was a table set up for any gifts that people might see fit to bestow upon the happy couple.

There were guards as well, stationed in discreet places throughout in order to make sure that no one got out of hand, although such a thing would NEVER happen at such an event. In fact, there were wards in place to make sure that such a thing could not happen.

Now with the ceremony completed, all that was left was for the guests to arrive and the merrymaking to commence. It would be the grandest affair that the world had ever seen.

Oh yeah, did I mention that all those in attendance are now cartoons for the extent of their visit to the realm of Andalasia? Have fun!

ooc: Backdated like whoa, but anyone and everyone is free to attend. Slowness due to holidays is expected, so feel free to jump in whenever and it'll be over when it's over! Play nice though, or K'tanya will FRY you and anyone close to you. ;)

She shuddered, then laughed. "Yes, it's quite a good thing you discovered me so that I could assist you with that, darling." Scott had gotten better, but a little nudge from Emma couldn't hurt every now and again.

"And no, you did not. You may do so now."

Scott grinned. "You looked totally amazing up there, Emma. In fact, I--" He stopped, then scratched his head. "You know, I was going to say something suggestive, and then I couldn't. Now I don't even remember what I would be suggesting." He shrugged and gave Emma another kiss. "Anyway, you look beautiful."

She kissed him back and held his hand. Remarkable that he had not said something suggestive... more remarkable that she could not think of anything herself.

"Thank you, dearest. Now, may I have this dance?"

Scott blinked. "Um... dance? Well, sure, as long as you don't mind swaying. Believe me, many have tried to teach me and they've all pronounced me a loss."

"That's fine, darling. This dress is incredibly tight, anyway. Besides, it wouldn't do to upstage the bride and her new husband now, would it?" She held her arms open so Scott could take her into his.

He grinned. "That's a darn good point," Scott replied, and wrapped his arms around Emma so they could sway to the music. A thought came to his head and wouldn't go away. Scott figured he knew where it would lead, but the words came out anyway. Somehow, he at least knew Emma couldn't get too mad, not here in Andalasia. Everyone seemed so happy.

"You looked really good up there... you know, at the altar?"

Emma froze in place and looked at Scott.

"Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?"

Scott frowned. "No, I, uh... Of course not. Just random thoughts."

She crossed her arms. "You're speaking to a telepath, Scott. Are you telling me that you want to get married?"

Emma didn't say it aloud, but she added mentally "again?"

"Sorry I mentioned it," Scott answered defensively. "It's just, you know... wedding."

"And you want a wedding?" Emma frowned again, trying to understand exactly what Scott was getting at.

"With me?"

"Emma, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I still think that means-- even if just eventually, way down the line-- I'd like to get married."

Her face is now frozen in place completely. And her feet.

"Are you... is this... are you asking me to...?"

Scott realizes that Emma has not slapped him, yelled at him verbally or psychically, and is still standing in front of him. It makes him way bolder than he should be.

"Yeah, I am. It doesn't have to be anytime soon. Heck, it doesn't have to be before the next ice age, but I just want to know it could. Emma, would you marry me?"

It had to be because of Andalasia. Not that Emma would think about it at the moment, but later on, she'd realize it.

"Yes. I would."

"Okay. Okay," Scott repeats, flabbergasted. "Well, that's really, really good to know. And now that I do, I can stop wondering. Thank you."

She nodded her head. "Yes, well... you're welcome." It was a very odd conversation, so she finally said, "Can we go back to dancing now?"
