RP - Wedding Reception (Backdated to Sept. 26th!)

It had been the most beautiful ceremony that the country of Andalasia, or indeed any country, had every had the opportunity to experience. Everyone, from the lowest to the highest had been blessed to witness the union of two souls that lived and loved only for each other. In fact, in all of history there had never been a more blessed union than this one, and everyone of any real importance had been sent an invitation and was there in attendance.

In fact, the biggest hall in all the land had been decorated for the occasion. Every table was adorned with beautiful and tasteful decorations in the colors of the bride’s choice, blush and bashful. The banquet was already set out upon heavy tables on either side of the room, allowing people to dine at their leisure as the festivities went on. There was a full service bar in each corner of the room, and servants dressed in the appropriate colors circulated through the room making sure that everyone’s drinks stayed refilled as needed. Near the entrance there was a table set up for any gifts that people might see fit to bestow upon the happy couple.

There were guards as well, stationed in discreet places throughout in order to make sure that no one got out of hand, although such a thing would NEVER happen at such an event. In fact, there were wards in place to make sure that such a thing could not happen.

Now with the ceremony completed, all that was left was for the guests to arrive and the merrymaking to commence. It would be the grandest affair that the world had ever seen.

Oh yeah, did I mention that all those in attendance are now cartoons for the extent of their visit to the realm of Andalasia? Have fun!

ooc: Backdated like whoa, but anyone and everyone is free to attend. Slowness due to holidays is expected, so feel free to jump in whenever and it'll be over when it's over! Play nice though, or K'tanya will FRY you and anyone close to you. ;)

Emma had thought the ceremony had gone on a tad too long, but as Maid of Honor (and who would actually believe she was a "maid", let alone one of "honor"?), she had a duty to perform.

Once it was over, she congratulated the happy couple and then met up with Scott, air-kissing him. As she held his hand and walked towards the reception, she was stopped by a peasant she had not seen at the ceremony. "Yes? Can I help you?"

The child saw Scott and turned to her, then flung himself to the ground and asked what Emma's official title was. Once she told him it was The White Queen, the poor dear practically fainted with happiness. Emma sincerely hoped it would not be like this the entire reception...

K'tanya managed to tear herself away from her adoring fans for a few moments as she saw Emma moving through the room. Dazzling as always, and just slightly less beautiful than the bride was herself, K'tanya's Maid of Honor was a welcome sight. Fans were wonderful and all, but sometimes a girl just needed to talk to someone who was on almost the same level.

Smiling at both her and Scott, K'tanya was practically breathless with happiness as she came over to say hello. "There you are! I wasn't sure I would get the chance to tell you both how happy I am that you could be a part of everything today."

"K'tanya, dearest, you looked lovely, as always." Emma air-kissed the new princess and admired her wedding gown. "It's quite lovely. However will you be able to dance in it, though?" Emma saw that it was quite tight-fitting, which she approved, but that never lent itself to moving about the dance floor well.

"Oh it's not a problem. I'll spend most of the dancing part just doing that sway thing anyway. There's not a lot of foot action in that, plus I'll be leaning to Edward most of the time."

Plus there was the fact that she could dance circles around anyone, even in a skin tight dress. She was a Prima ballerina assoluta after all.

She smiled at K'tanya, nodding her head in agreement. "Yes, that is, as I understand it, the typical thing to do at wedding receptions in terms of dancing."

Although, Emma did recall that the bride was absolutely perfect in terms of her own dancing abilities. She wondered to herself why she had doubted her in the first place.

Scott frowned, giving the little boy a pat on the head when he absolutely refused to rise from the floor, no matter how Scott had asked him. It had been the strangest experience, what with how closely Edward seemed to resemble him-- in a way, that is, since Scott had always thought he had looked a little silly with hair that long.

He gave Emma a squeeze and blinked behind the glasses he'd donned to help people tell the difference. "I really didn't think that ceremony was ever going to end," he smirked.

"It was rather long, but it's over now, at least," she smiled before she kissed her own charming date, then glanced at the boy on the ground before the two of them and sighed.

"I believe you want your new princess, who is over there," she said helpfully, pointing to K'tanya before slipping an arm through Scott's. "And, by the by, you are far more handsome than that Edward fellow."

"Thanks," Scott replied, taking Emma's arm. "And although I'd like to say I'd never wear anything as loud as that getup he's got on, you've seen my old uniforms." He laughed and tugged her a little closer. "Speaking of clothes, did I mention how great you look today?"

She shuddered, then laughed. "Yes, it's quite a good thing you discovered me so that I could assist you with that, darling." Scott had gotten better, but a little nudge from Emma couldn't hurt every now and again.

In fact, she might owe some people some money because she didn't think that this day would ever come.

The holidays really do bring out the best in her!

K'tanya hurries over, somehow managing to look even more breathtakingly beautiful as she held the bottom of her dress up to keep it out of the way as she moved through the crowd.

"I would never miss my perfect kind of daughter's weddng!" Selina says as she hugs her daughter, mindful to not wrinkle her perfect pale pink wedding dress that looks simply gorgeous on her.

"Oh wasn't it simply fabulous? I mean I knew it would be, but it's all just so breathtaking!"

She looks down at herself for a moment. "Although, the cartoon thing? It's going to take some getting used to I think."

Selina watches as several happy little singing blue birds all gather around their new princess. "Yeah, I can see that." She swats the birds away with her hand.

"You aren't necessarily stuck here, are you? You can live with him in both places."

From Emma's brief sessions with Dick Grayson, she heard a little about Selina Kyle. Of course, she recognized her on site.

"Ms. Kyle, is it not? Emma Frost. A pleasure."

"Emma Frost. Now, why does that name sound familiar?" She says as she tries to think of it, but can't.

She grins, "You were a bridesmaid."

"I was the Maid of Honor," she said with a smile, correcting her. "And you, Ms. Kyle, have quite the reputation in Gotham as I understand it."

As much as the adulation of the nobility and their endless parade of compliments warmed Prince Edward's heart, he was glad to see the end of the receiving line and to know there would not be the same for the peasantry that were surrounding the palace with a makeshift celebration of their own. Edward leaned out one of the towering windows and waved at them, to thunderous cheering.

Finally, after much handshaking and smiling, he managed to corner his even more in-demand new bride in the very last secluded corner of the great hall. Edward grasped his beloved's hand. "At last," he sighed.

"Oh Edward," K'tanya said as hearts fluttering around her head that showed the entire world her true feelings for him, "this has been the most perfect day of my entire life."

She lifted her hand and placed it lightly on the front of his tunic, happy that they finally had a moment to themselves.

Edward beamed-- literally, which was quite a feat in the shadowy nook he'd found for them-- and clasped his hands over his beloved's, letting her feel his heart beating for only her. "And I could not have dreamed a more beautiful wedding to a more breathtaking bride."

The feel of his heart beating for her sent little tingly feelings all through her body, which made her sparkle more than a Twilight vampire standing in full sunlight on a summer day. "I never thought that I would ever be in this place, where wishes and dreams come true and there really is a happily ever after, but you've done all that for me and more."

Adam hated the fact that he was turned into a cartoon dog. (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b21/nightwing_r/Gifts/dodger1.jpg) He knew that K'Tanya was doing this on purpose, but he didn't know how.

As soon as the reception was started, he goes straight to her. He will bite her, if he has the chance.

She spots him though before he can get that close, probably because she is looking for him.

"Adam! How nice of you to come."

K'tanya kneels down so she is more on his level and ruffles his ears quickly. "Now don't bite, or I'll have to do something drastic."
