toodamnmanymusesK’tanya shaded her eyes as she glanced up into the afternoon sky. The sun, which had already been up for hours, hardly seemed to have moved despite the hour. It was almost as if time itself had stood still, at least for the moment.
Perhaps that was her problem, she thought as she settled back into her chair. Instead of moving forward with her life, she was simply standing still, wishing for something she could never truly find. Maybe she should just let it all go, and finally fade away.
“I think maybe it’s time for me to go home.”
